Where can I find a knowledgeable pet store owner in Jodhpur Park, Kolkata?
Reviewers on Google Maps and Instagram consistently name Pawsh Purrfect in Jodhpur Park as the go-to for breed-aware advice. Owner Sreyashee is specifically mentioned — one owner wrote, "Sreyashee, the owner is quite knowledgeable on various breeds of dogs and cats, the groomers do their job very well." This level of personalised guidance is rare in a neighbourhood store. The team also has a grooming track record that draws repeat customers from across south Kolkata. If you've just brought home a new puppy or have a breed with specific coat needs, this is a strong first stop. Pet Plaza in the same area is simpler in scope but handy for quick supply runs.
How does Pawsh Purrfect in Jodhpur Park compare to other pet stores in south Kolkata?
Pawsh Purrfect stands out in south Kolkata for its combination of grooming, supplies, and in-store expertise. With 140 reviews across Google Maps, Facebook, and Instagram, it has one of the larger review bases among neighbourhood pet stores in this part of the city. Reviewers cite clean facilities, good handling of anxious dogs, and honest follow-up on grooming results. Compared to stores in areas like Paddapukur–Bhowanipore, where Kolkata Dog Lovers focuses heavily on puppy sales, Pawsh Purrfect leans more toward grooming and wellness. For Jodhpur Park residents, it offers a more complete stop. Pet Plaza in the same neighbourhood covers basic supplies but doesn't match Pawsh Purrfect on grooming depth.
Is Pawsh Purrfect in Jodhpur Park good for anxious or nervous dogs?
Most owners who visited Pawsh Purrfect describe the handling as gentle and reassuring. One reviewer shared that their dog had previously been nervous at other groomers but settled well here — "From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly warm, gentle, and attentive with my furry baby." The grooming team's calm approach is a recurring theme in 140 reviews across Google Maps and social platforms. That said, the store can get busy and some owners mention a wait during peak times, which may stress anxious dogs — booking ahead or visiting during off-peak hours is a practical tip. For very reactive dogs, it's worth a quick call to Pawsh Purrfect to check availability before your visit.
Which Jodhpur Park pet store is better for day-to-day supplies versus specialist services?
For specialist grooming and breed-specific advice, Pawsh Purrfect is the clear choice in Jodhpur Park — reviewers consistently single it out for quality results and knowledgeable staff. Pet Plaza is a more practical, lower-key option if you just need food, accessories, or basic supplies without the grooming element. Based on review patterns across Google Maps and social platforms, Pawsh Purrfect has the deeper expertise, while Pet Plaza suits a quick neighbourhood top-up. If you're looking for breed-specific nutrition brands or veterinary-grade supplements, calling either store ahead is advisable since not all products are guaranteed to be in stock. Jodhpur Park's proximity to south Kolkata options like Jadavpur gives you additional choices for supplies.
What do pet owners in Jodhpur Park say about cleanliness at local stores?
Cleanliness is one of the most praised aspects of Pawsh Purrfect in Jodhpur Park, coming up consistently in reviews from Google Maps and Instagram. Owners describe the grooming space as hygienic, and several mention leaving with pets that smelled great and had well-finished coats. One reviewer noted, "My dog's coat looks amazing, and he smells great" — a reflection of both hygiene and grooming quality. The store's active Instagram presence also suggests regular upkeep, as the photos show a well-maintained space. For Pet Plaza, there is less detailed public feedback on hygiene specifically, though it has no notable complaints on this front. Overall, Jodhpur Park's pet stores carry a good baseline cleanliness standard based on available review data.
Are there pet stores in Jodhpur Park that handle both cats and dogs?
Pawsh Purrfect in Jodhpur Park is explicitly mentioned by reviewers as catering to both dogs and cats. Owner Sreyashee's breed knowledge spans cats as well, and the grooming service accommodates both species, which is less common among neighbourhood pet stores in Kolkata. Reviewers on Google Maps and Instagram describe a welcoming experience for cat owners, noting that the team treats each animal with care. If you have multiple pets across species, Pawsh Purrfect offers a one-stop experience. Pet Plaza's specific offering for cats is less documented in reviews, but it remains a neighbourhood staple for supplies. For a neighbourhood with both dog and cat owners, Pawsh Purrfect's multi-species service is a genuine convenience.
